Akbarian Law Group, APLC was established in December of 1997 in Glendale, California. A few years ago our office moved to Encino, California. We represent clients in Family Law and personal injury related matters. We understand the dynamics of the emotional hardship in family law and personal injury related cases and how they can affect our client's quality of life. - A: Under the Family Code, child support is determined based on the parents' income, percentage of time with each parent and certain deductions which are allowed in calculating the amount of child support. If you have a previous child support order and there are change of income and/or custodial time, then you may file for modification of child support. - A: Congratulation! You are both thinking in the right direction. Prenuptial agreements is not just an agreement, it is a communication tool, by which not only you protect your assets but also eliminate expensive and costly divorces. The average cost can range anywhere from $2500.00 and up. I prefer that both parties be represented by an independent attorney. It is also advisable that you both discuss with each other what assets you wish to protect and include in the agreement prior to consulting an attorney this way you can discuss your questions with your respective attorneys. - A: As long as the California Court has jurisdiction over the minor child then, you will be able file a Request for Order with accompanying documents and get a court order to enforce custody rights.
