Alec S. Pine
Alec Pine is a seasoned trial attorney who practices in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury.
Alec began his legal career as a public defender with the New York City Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Practice in Bronx County. While there, he earned the respect and admiration of clients, peers and judges for his devoted client advocacy and polished trial skills. During this time, he fought for over 1000 clients facing criminal charges and attained numerous not guilty verdicts, dismissals and suppression of evidence as lead counsel in both jury and bench trials.
Following his time at the Legal Aid Society, Alec transitioned into private practice by joining Swartz & Swartz, a top personal injury firm in Boston, where he expanded his focus to helping clients in high-stakes injury matters. His meticulous preparation and strong negotiation skills helped achieve numerous favorable outcomes for clients, including six and seven figure settlements. Alec’s personal injury practice concentrates on wrongful death, auto accidents, premise liability and product liability.
For embodying excellence in practice, Super Lawyers Magazine named Alec to its “Rising Stars” list for the past several years. Each year no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state of Massachusetts under the age of 40 are selected to receive this exclusive honor. The National Trial Lawyers and National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys also recognized Alec as a top trial attorney in Massachusetts under the age of 40.
Alec’s distinguished trial skills earned him an instructor position with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), the nation’s leading provider of legal advocacy skills training, where he coaches practicing lawyers on core trial techniques. He has also served as teaching faculty for the Intensive Trial Techniques Program at Hofstra Law School.
