Adamo Ferreira
Mr. Ferreira developed his legal and litigation skills as an associate with the famed Hackensack attorney Kevin G. Roe. During his time with Mr. Roe, Adamo assisted clients facing criminal charges in Federal, State and local municipal courts in both New Jersey and New York. Cases involving white collar and blue-collar crimes were personally handled by Mr. Ferreira, including cases involving murder, international drug distribution and white-collar fraud.
After his tenure with Mr. Roe, Adamo began providing legal services in the civil arena where he has defended Healthcare Fraud Prosecution cases, construction contractor fraud and other related consumer fraud matters. He served as lead and co-counsel in defending federal-state, multi-state, and New Jersey-initiated prosecutions of major financial institutions, healthcare providers, among others, who have faced significant penal and civil consequences, including life in prison.
Adamo has also gained significant experience handling family case litigation while with DeGrado Halkovich, Esqs. and appeals (bother emergent and non-emergent) before the Superior Court, Chancery Division, Appellate Division and the Supreme Court of New Jersey implicating a diverse array of legal issues including landlord tenant, criminal, post-conviction relief, custody and parenting time and restraining orders. Adamo was the trial attorney and lead appellate attorney who prosecuted the successful appeal of a matter involving the newly enacted Sexual Assault Survivor Protection Act (“SASPA”). The matter continues to be the leading case law on SASPA and is still binding legal precedent in New Jersey.
Adamo earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, Newark, New Jersey.
Adamo is a proud father of three young children and a lifelong resident of the State of New Jersey.
